Product Challenge

This is a new segment of my blog in which I will do a 2 to 3 month use of a product or a line of products --depending on how the product is supposed to be used. During the process I will report on any hair changes and the date I noticed in detail. Upon completion, I will write a product review as well as a star rating 5 being the best. The product will be featured on a blog page.

Featured Products : Wild Growth Hair Oil & Wild Growth Light Hair Moisturizer

About 3 months ago I was at the Beauty Store with my Mum and we were just looking around at products,  when a lady mentioned this product and how well it worked. I wasn't sure whether to believe her or not, so i didn't buy it. After being on Hairlista for a while and talking about oils and their importance I decided to take a look at the product. I am very interested to try it because of it's list of all natural ingredients. I went to their website to gather more information; from which I constructed the following product profile:

Products:
Wild Growth Hair Oil & Wild Growth Light Hair Moisturizer

Usage:
The Wild Growth® Hair Oil (white and green bottle: we call 'green bottle') is for growth and softness. The Wild Growth® Light Oil Moisturizer  (yellow bottle) has the same hair growth formula, does not have the softness formula, but, has, in addition, an advanced moisture protection formula against hair damage. Plus, it has a hair and scalp deodorization formula with a fine natural scent.

Ingredients:
Wild Growth Hair Oil
OLIVE OIL: tripalmitin, oleic acids, triolein,  arachidic esters, flavonoids, squalene, terpenoids, hydroxytyrosol, tyrosol, oleuropein, the aglycone of ligostride, (+)-1-acetoxypinoresinol, pinoresinol, alpha-tocopherol, vanillic and caffeic acid, oleocanthal (the dialdehydic form of (-)deacetoxy-ligostride aglycone), chlorophyll, pheophytin and carotenoids.
COCONUT OIL: lauric acid, monolaurin , capric acid and monocaprin.
JOJOBA OIL: long-chained monohydroxyl alcohols, pro vitamin A and E.
VEGETAL SOURCES: vitamin D (ergocalciferol), choline, inostol, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, and calcium

 Wild Growth Light Hair Moisturizer
contains a  modified version of  the Wild Growth® Hair Oil nutrient complex above and specially selected and proprietarily modified natural ingredients from: castor oil, flax seed oil, carrot oil complex, pumpkin seed oil, grape seed oil, safflower oil, roman chamomile oil, black seed oil, evening primrose oil,  vitamin e and proprietary Wild Growth® Essential Oil complex.

Product Regimen
Application:
  • Green bottle first to scalp rub lightly into scalp
  • add yellow bottle and repeat
  • because I started working out and I go into the steam room will start with green bottle at 2x a week and yellow at 3x a week

Application notes
  • First from the green bottle, then immediately from the yellow bottle.
  • Once the Wild Growth Hair Oil is in your head from previous application(s) you can use only the Wild Growth Light Oil Moisturizer every other day to keep up the needed moisture.
  •  But you will have to re-apply Wild Growth Hair Oil, eventually, to bring back the softness (certainly after you wash your head, and most likely after sweating alot, or after exposure to signficant rain, or after  swimming).
  • Both products are used sparingly, enough to achieve even coverage.
  • When using one after the other, use the Wild Growth Light Oil Moisturizer more sparingly than the Wild Growth Hair Oil.
